Music Library Uganda is committed to creating a platform where music lovers can discover, enjoy, and share Ugandan music in a positive, respectful environment. These Community Guidelines outline what we expect from our users and what you can expect from us.
By using Music Library Uganda, you agree to follow these guidelines. Failure to do so may result in content removal, account restrictions, or account termination.
Respect Other Users
Our community thrives when everyone treats each other with respect. We ask that you:
- Be kind and courteous in all interactions
- Respect differing opinions and musical preferences
- Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or bullying
- Consider the cultural context and sensitivity of your communications
- Refrain from hate speech, discrimination, or threatening language
Content Standards
When creating playlists, writing comments, or interacting with others, please ensure your content:
- Does not include offensive, explicit, or harmful material
- Does not promote illegal activities
- Avoids excessive profanity or obscene language
- Does not contain spam, scams, or misleading information
- Respects the intellectual property of artists and creators
Artist-Specific Guidelines
For artists uploading content to Music Library Uganda:
- You must have the rights to all material you upload
- Provide accurate and complete information about your music
- Do not impersonate other artists or misrepresent your work
- Follow our technical requirements for audio quality and formats
- Label explicit content appropriately
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account:
- Use a strong, unique password
- Never share your account credentials with others
- Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access
- Do not create multiple accounts for malicious purposes
- Do not attempt to access other users' accounts
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Music Library Uganda respects copyright and intellectual property rights:
- Do not upload or share content that infringes on others' copyright
- Properly credit artists when creating playlists or sharing content
- We will respond to legitimate copyright infringement notices
- Repeated copyright violations may result in account termination
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the "Report" function available throughout the platform
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Do not engage with harmful content or escalate conflicts
- For urgent concerns, contact our support team directly
Enforcement
Our team reviews reported content and may take the following actions:
- Content removal
- Issuing warnings
- Temporary account restrictions
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting illegal activities to relevant authorities
Enforcement decisions consider context, severity, and history of violations.
Appeals Process
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error:
- Contact our support team within 14 days
- Provide your account information and details about the situation
- Explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
- Our team will review your appeal and respond within 5 business days
Changes to Guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect new features, address emerging issues, or improve clarity. Significant changes will be announced on our platform, and your continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
